All so very 10 years ago

I was on the phone telling my sister that I am SO SO excited for the new season of Gossip Girl, and for the premiere of the next generation of 90210 that it is downright embarassing. I'm also sitting here torn between doing absolutely nothing but watching mindless television, knowing it'll be one of the last nights for that, and doing all the things that I should be getting done before I start 3 years of school part-time while working, knowing I won't have time later. And I chose procrastination. Better to schedule the other tasks for when I'm already insanely busy!

She pointed out that it's very much like the way things used to be. School and 90210 starting in about a week. New beginnings that are just like the old days.

Well, I never realized just how tame the old 90210 really was until I watched the new one last week. Yikes!

My fellow 90210 addicts (I'm talking people like me (and probably you) who dvd it twice a day on SOAP even though we've seen every single episode multiple times) are split down the middle about the new version. I haven't made up my mind yet but I will definitely be watching again tonight. Watching Rob Estes on Silk Stalkings all those years ago was a guilty pleasure. That's probably what watching the new 90210 will be too.

I'd love to hear what you thought about it.

Cheers,
Anne
