I've long had two favourite quotes from 90210. They were quintessential 90210 moments for me, and they've often popped into my head over the years, always making me laugh.
The first (actually the second chronologically, really) was when Kelly had just gone through the whole fire/cult thing from which Brandon and Dylan rescued her. They were all standing outside the Peach Pit and each guy wanted her. And wanted her to make a decision. And Kelly's decision?
"I choose me."
I CHOOSE ME!!! Wisdom for all women everywhere. And then, she, you know, went off to New York and fell in love with a junkie boyfriend who treated her like shit. But you know, still, she chose herself. :p
The other moment that always stuck in my head, was back during the high school season, after Brenda and Dylan had broken up. Brenda was jealous about someone Dylan was seeing and they had an argument in the yard at school. And Dylan yelled "You lost the right to ask about my sex life when you decided you didn't want to be a part of it!"
You go boy!
Tonight, as I was cherishing my PVR and my daily episode of 90210, I discovered another 90210 gem. Dylan was at Lucinda's house (random professor Brandon had a love affair with) supposedly reviewing her documentary. There was heavy-duty flirting and they were getting ready to cross the line (Kelly was away with Brandon pretending to be his girlfriend for Task Force reasons). When Dylan reminds Lucinda that Kelly is his girlfriend, she replies:
"Sex doesn't get any safer than when your girlfriend is out of town."
QUALITY SHOW! Fabulous life messages!! How can you not love it?!?!?!
(I love it)

The only logical explanation
I was at a wedding this weekend whose guest list was comprised mainly of people I didn't know. When I got home, I was telling my (single) sister about the event. She was asking about people I had met.
her: You didn't meet the love of your life?
me: No
her: I think the loves of our lives died in a car accident
me: That's unfortunate that they went and did that before we got a chance to meet them.
her: It *is* unfortunate, yes, but it's the only logical explanation
Yes. The only logical explanation. :p

The one where Andrea gets pregnant
I missed the week of season premieres this year, so my television viewing has been completely chaotic the last couple weeks. Last week I had finally identified and located all the programs I'd like to watch this season, though I was quite frustrated by the fact that all the programs seem to fall in the same time slot, and that nights I'm hope there's nothing on, and nights I'm out, everything's on.
On Thanksgiving Monday, the camel's back broke. What about Brian? started at the exact same time as Project Runway and 60 Sunset Strip (or whatever it's called that I've been wanting to watch and have never seen). Sunday nights also have 3 shows I want to watch all at 10:00 pm and this Monday thing just pushed me over the edge.
So, last Wednesday, I got a PVR.
And set it up.
And selected some programs for taping.
One of which is Beverly Hills 90210 - showing on TVTropolis daily at 3 pm. And on the weekends at 4 pm.
Which is now being taped daily.
I almost didn't go to bed Wednesday night - I sat up for part of the night, waiting for it to be Thursday so I could watch taped shows. (Until I realized that, asleep or awake, time wouldn't move any faster)
Thursday when I got home, I watched 90210. Pure joy.
It was the one where Nat has a heart attack and Andrea finds out she's pregnant.
And now? There are FOUR more episodes to watch!
Daily 90210. Unending happiness.
