I bought a card at the store today and was checking out. I realized I had exact change. I LOVE exact change. I even exclaimed "Exact Change! How exciting!" The cashier woman said nothing. Nothing. Not even a half-smile to humour me!
She was obviously in need of a hug. I mean, what kind of person can't find joy in exact change?!

Maybe she's the type of person that doesn't use change. Maybe she uses whole bills because then the change that she gets when she makes a purchase, she puts into her piggy bank at home. Maybe this is the only type of "savings" plan she has. Maybe she likes rolling coins to take to the bank.

These people are everywhere. If I didn't find joy in the little things some days, I'd find nothing at all.
