Waterman

Recently I've noticed this man in my building. I noticed him because everytime I see him, he's carrying bottles, or containers, of water. And nothing else. It's not like I'm just catching him on grocery day or something. He's always carrying in containers of water, and it's always several large bottles, or jugs - not a single bottle you grab to go to the gym. I always wondered what he was doing with all this water. And why he never had anything else.

Today I thought of him again. There was a chemical spill and we've been put on a water ban - can't even wash our hands or our clothes with it. So I went to the grocery store and bought 20 litres of water and a case of water bottles. And, as I was lugging it all up to my apartment, I thought of Waterman. And how he was already prepared.

Maybe he knew all along...
